Where the line came from

Pagather began with a cluttered desk and an annoyance. Every project wanted a liner for edges and something soft for fills, and the two pens never came from the same box or dried out on the same day. We built one barrel with a fine end and a brush end, put our name on it, and made it the rule for every acrylic set we sell, from 24 colors to 120.

The rest of the shelf grew out of requests from people who paint. Opaque white by the six-pack, because white always runs out first. Mirror chrome for model builders. Fabric ink that takes laundry seriously. A watercolor kit in a walnut box for painters who leave the house. We kept saying yes to the sensible asks.

How this site works

This site is our line catalog: every box, its honest description, and the guides we wish came printed inside the lid. When you press a buy button, the order itself happens with our retail partner, who runs the checkout, the delivery and the returns desk. We stick to what we know, which is the paint.

What we care about

Consistency first: color number ninety should behave like color number three. Honesty second: the chrome pens do not work on paper and the UV set needs a blacklight, and we say so on the box and on this site. And low-odor, water-based ink throughout the acrylic line, because most painting happens at kitchen tables, not in ventilated studios.
