Are the acrylic markers water-based?
Yes. The acrylic line uses water-based pigment ink: low odor, soap-and-water cleanup off skin, and safe for kitchen-table studios. Once dry it holds like acrylic paint should.
Do the chrome pens work on paper?
No, and this is the most important thing to know before buying them. Chrome needs a sealed surface to form its mirror. On paper the ink sinks in and dries dull. Metal, glass, resin, plastic, ceramic, wood and stone all work.
Does the glow set shine in a dark room on its own?
No. The eight UV colors fluoresce under a UV or blacklight lamp and look like regular colors otherwise. They do not charge in sunlight and glow by themselves. If you want the party effect, plan for the lamp.
Which set should a beginner buy?
The 24-color acrylic set if you are testing the water, the 48 if you already know you like painting. Rock painters should add the white six-pack regardless; it outlines and highlights everything.
Do the same colors appear across the 24, 48, 72 and 120?
The walls nest: bigger sets carry the smaller palette and extend it with more steps per shade family, mutes and skin tones. Work made with the 48 matches work made with the 120.
How do I keep fabric designs through the laundry?
Heat-set the finished design per the in-box instructions, wait a day, then wash cold and inside out. Cotton and canvas hold designs best. Our fabric guide walks through the full routine.

A marker in my new set will not write. Now what?
Shake it with the cap on, then press the tip gently on scrap paper until ink arrives. For the chrome trio, twist the cap several times instead; the valve needs priming, not pressure. Our care guide covers the stubborn cases.
